Brand Notre Dame: het verschil tussen Trump en Obama in twee tweets

Donald Trump weet maar niet het goede te zeggen in het geval van een ramp. Ook bij de brand in de Notre Dame sloeg hij de plank weer mis. Leiders uit de hele wereld toonden hun medeleven met Frankrijk en wensten de Fransen sterkte met het verlies. Ook oud-president Barack Obama leefde mee en noemde de kerk 'een van 's werelds grootste schatten'. Daarbij plaatste hij een foto van zichzelf en zijn gezin in de beroemde kathedraal. Trump pakte het heel anders aan. Hij gaf advies over hoe het vuur uit moest. De Amerikaanse president leek het een goed idee om met blusvliegtuigen grote ladingen water over de kerk heen te gooien. En dat is een heel slecht plan. Ten eerste zakt de hele constructie in elkaar onder het gewicht van het water. Ten tweede, als je mist dan raak je burgers in de straat. Op Twitter kreeg de president er weer flink van langs:
