Create a media credibility rating site (that also flags propaganda botnets)

Come on media, you can do it! Get more people to vote for you. You are literally the media.
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) 24 mei 2018
with all due respect, this is pathetic

Ahem, you have “nano” in your bio. That is 100% synonymous with bs.
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) 24 mei 2018
Nano applies to everything & therefore means nothing. Definitely indicates bs. Sorry. https://t.co/WQp8j9YkeJ

Hey @elonmusk we all know that in a world where sensationalism sells, the media world needs a shakeup, but that doesn't happen by calling scientific principles such as the size scale nano 'BS' - nanotech is an integral part of current and future technology https://t.co/8FfR7xy7D2 pic.twitter.com/ss4gpsb9Hp

Pseudoscience isn't just harmful because it convinces people to rely on things that absolutely do not work; it de-legitimises real scientific terms.
— Ketan Joshi (@KetanJ0) 25 mei 2018
Musk's anti-nano category errors play right into that function of pseudoscience.
There are thousands of dodgy af solar power products who use the words 'solar' and 'renewable' to defraud consumers.
— Ketan Joshi (@KetanJ0) 25 mei 2018
That doesn't mean people researching (or selling) solar technology are 'bs'.
Same goes for: quantum, ions, electrons, consciousness...https://t.co/LbFU0kV13G
Of all the hills to die on in 2018, raging furiously at a scientific prefix is absolutely not the one I predicted for Elon Musk #TeamUpulie https://t.co/kBa59hvdnI

In nanotech, we're looking at materials at the 1-100nm level. So they still have some bulk, some mass, but they behave differently at this level than they do at the micrometer level. You end up using smaller particles and new properties to construct devices, circuits, everything
— Upulie Divisekera (@upulie) 25 mei 2018
Since it's so specific and the properties are so unique, we give it a name - nanotech. It's a perfectly valid term with a strict scientific definition. Your feelings about the vibe sadly don't apply here @elonmusk
